  1. Resume shortlisting – according to aforementioned criteria published in advertisement
  2. GT – Group Task is totally different than Group Discussion and from this round only they decide whether a person can be a good fit for the company or not. Communication skills, problem solving skills and presentation skills are some of the important skills they test in this round, so try to improve these skills. You will be provided with a blank page containing one problem with two questions at the end of the problem. You may get 5 minutes to read and understand the case and 10 to 15 minutes to discuss about the possible solutions among yourselves. So try to answer in a different way. For ex:  Whether one should choose safety over company profits or not? Think properly and frame your sentences correctly and then deliver it with proper justifications. Always try to speak first in the GT or GD provided you know about the topics and you are clear on your thought, otherwise don’t. Take your time, listen to others and try to speak in the 4th or 5th number (in a 10 member group).
  3. Technical Interview – The technical interview has more to do with your core mechanical branch. The question can be as vague as ‘tell us something about yourself’ which you can direct in such a way that panel ends up asking questions about your stronger subjects. Be soft-spoken, respecting and logical.
  4. HR Interview – Try to be as honest in this interview as possible as there will be a lot of personal questions also in this round. Do not try to speak about something you have not done or done half-way like any internship or project.

Basic technical knowledge and good communication skills and sometimes high CPI can help you fetch a job in BPCL.
